Camp Rules & Regulations
TCN Jesus Tribe Abuja 2026 Teens Camp. Please read carefully — every camper is expected to know and follow these before arriving at camp.
Schedule & Attendance
- Teens must remain on the camp premises during the camp session.
- The camp schedule and program will be issued by the Camp Leadership, and it must be followed by all campers.
- Teens must be present, punctual and engaged in all camp activities. Campers cannot return to their rooms during sessions. No one is to be excused from any activity except certified by the camp medical team.
- Campers are not to leave the campgrounds without the permission of the Camp Commandant.
Behavior & Character
- A good character MUST be evidenced at all times. Conduct and speech exhibited at camp must be in keeping with Christian principles. All plays and skits need to have a "G" rating in keeping with the Scriptures' high standards.
- Teens are expected to speak to one another in an appropriate and encouraging manner. Crude language, gesturing, and inappropriate joking are not permitted.
- We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding bullying as well as other acts of aggression. Fighting, hitting, or physical altercations of any kind will result in the teenager being separated and referred to the camp commandant / camp counselor.
- Abusive behavior and defiant disobedience will NOT be tolerated. This includes self-abusive behavior (drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, self-mutilation) and others (bullying, fighting, verbal abuse).
Health & Hygiene
- Maintain good personal hygiene all through camp and keep your dormitory clean and tidy.
- All medication must be registered at check-in and certified by the medical team.
- Sickness and accidents must be reported immediately to the tribe heads and the medical team.
Dress Code
- Clothing worn at camp shall be in accordance with modest Christian attire. The tribe heads for each tribe group can and will decide if the clothing is appropriate.
- Teens must abide by the dress code while at camp. All dressing should be as stated in the camp packing list.
- Inappropriate items have been clearly stated in the camp packing list.
- Only teens with appropriate sportswear will be allowed to participate in sporting activities.
Electronics, Gadgets & Money
- The use of electronic media, including mobile phones, is prohibited on camp. Teenagers may not bring laptops, smart watches, iPods, iPads, tablets, gameboys, PlayStations, or similar devices. Music players for skits, talent shows, or special music must be approved and will be provided by teachers.
- Mobile phones or electronic gadgets brought to camp will be collected at check-in, safely kept, and returned to the teenagers at the end of camp.
- Teens may NOT bring money to purchase food and beverages. Provisions are allowed to be brought to camp.
- Teens are allowed to bring their own sporting equipment if they have any.
Cooperation
- Everyone is expected to FULLY cooperate with the tribe heads and camp volunteers. The camp leadership reserves the right to send home anyone who willfully disobeys.
- Teens are expected to speak and act in a respectful manner to all camp leaders and staff.
- Camp facilities and equipment should be treated with care. Report any damaged or lost item immediately.
Boy-Girl Relationships
- Boys and girls are not permitted to go off by themselves. Off-limit areas are to be observed by both boys and girls. Proper behavior shall be exhibited at all times.
- Teens are not allowed to have inappropriate relationships or exclusive interactions with other teens, whether of the opposite or same gender.
- Teens are not allowed to have inappropriate physical contact with one another (handholding, hugging, kissing, sexual activity, or any inappropriate displays of affection).
- The following areas are off limits to campers unless authorized: Kitchen, Dining hall, and any other area on camp not in use by the Church at that time.
Camp Photo & Video Policy
- TCN reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken during a TCN event, without express written permission of those included, in publications or other media material such as brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, and websites.
- To protect privacy, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian.
- By participating in a TCN event, you agree to release, defend, hold harmless, and indemnify TCN from any claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
- Any person or organization not affiliated with TCN may not use, copy, alter, or modify TCN photographs, graphics, videography, or similar recordings without advance written permission.
Right to Search
- Searching is a condition of entry, attendance, or continued attendance, to protect the safety of all campers. Security searches of clothing, bags, and other items may be conducted at the reasonable discretion of the Camp Leadership.
- The purpose of the search is to identify prohibited items and ensure a safe environment for everyone attending.
- Items deemed inappropriate or unacceptable will be confiscated and returned to campers at the end of the program; illegal items will not be returned.
